Music Class

Rrrriiinnngg. The school bell rang. “Today we’re going to play Old McDonald had a farm” stated Mr. Rork. Mr Rork was wearing a piano tie.

“Grab an instrument or you can sing.”

All the kids pushed each other out of the way and ran to get the instrument they wanted.

Ben picked the trumpet. Ben never washed so no one would ever pick the trumpet now that he did. He didn’t know how to play the trumpet but he thought it made him look cool like a jazz musician.

Zoey knew how to play the clarinet like a concert musician. When she played it was like the heavens opening up and angels descending singing a heavenly choir. Everyone would swoon. She loved to sing so she didn’t pick the clarinet. Her singing sounded like a cat screaming.

Lucas picked the accordion. He learned how to play from his uncle. His uncle didn’t know how to play. He just played the accordion at family parties to annoy everyone. When Lucas played it sounded like a dolphin laughing.

Stella picked the kazoo. She was great at the kazoo. She would have kazoo solos during school band performances.

Mikey played the bugle. He learned how to play at summer camp. Everyone hated hearing Mikey play the bugle because it reminded them that he would play at 3 am during camp to wake them up for the day. No one likes to be woken up at 3am. Especially during summer. They all hated that bugle.

Mateo played the banjo. It sounded like a rubber chicken. No one knew how he got it to sound like that.

Owen picked a whoopie cushion. He was very good at playing the whoopie cushion.

Grace picked the bagpipes. When she played it sounded like chipmunks on helium telling jokes to each other.

Ethan played the bongos. Jack clapped coconut shells together. They made a great duo.

Alice used a car alarm. It wasn’t an instrument from music class. No one knew where she got it. Actually she took it from Principle Munth’s car.

Maddie played the flute. It sounded like butterflies fluttering around.

Emma played the piano. It sounded like a popcorn machine. Whenever Emma played piano everyone got hungry for salty buttery popcorn.

Nora played the harp. It sounded like a vacuum cleaner.

Jenny played the electric guitar. She took lessons so it actually sounded like an electric guitar.

Everyone else sang.

“Old MacDonald had a farm, E-I-E-I-O,

And on that farm he had a cow, E-I-E-I-O.

With a moo-moo here and a moo-moo there,

Here a moo, there a moo, everywhere a moo-moo,

Old MacDonald had a farm, E-I-E-I-O.”

“Very good class,” Mr. Rork said.

“Old MacDonald had a farm, E-I-E-I-O,

And on that farm he had a pufferfish,

Why did he have a pufferfish?

Old MacDonald had a farm, E-I-E-I-O.

And on that farm he had an egyptian mummy,

Mummy’s don’t belong on farms.

Old MacDonald had a farm, E-I-E-I-O,

And on that farm he had a Godzilla, E-I-E-I-O.

With a ROAR!-ROAR! here and a STOMP-STOMP! there,

Here a ROAR!There a STOMP!, everywhere a ROAR!-STOMP!,

Old MacDonald had a farm, E-I-E-I-O.

Old MacDonald had a farm, E-I-E-I-O,

And on that farm he grew tomatoes, E-I-E-I-O.”

Everyone pulled out tomatoes and threw them at each other. They were all covered in tomatoes. They loved making music.
